the prince and the walking houses

The year everything was blue there was a bald charming young prince.  He was pink because he came from a different country where everything was pink even the sun.  When he was in the other country he liked playing with pink snow.From the pink country he flew in a pink and blue plane.He flew from one country to the other.He was coming visit his mum and dad.Suddenly an evil goose  came in to the plane and captured the charming prince with his feet.The prince was afraid of heights so he screamed like a girl.He brought him to the blue country and put him in a walking house,because the goose wanted the crown .He wanted the crown because it had lots of diamonds,and he new he would be rich.Then out of know where a troll picked up the walking house and picked the prince up and put him in her red hand bag.The troll was the king and queens pet.She took te prince to the palace and liveed happily ever after.

Room 9's ipad

In Room 9 we have an iPad. We have tons of fun games. My favourite is super 7. It is a maths game.
I also like Chickionary, I get to play that when I go to Janet. It is a spelling game, kind of like hangman, but you dont run out of chances.  I also like playing the rocket game. We use the the iPad for voice recording, we use garageband to do that. When we have done our voice recording it get saved to itunes so we can listen to it on the iPad!

Jago's mice

Yesterday Jago brought his mice to school. There are two mice. One is light brown and the other one is dark brown. I like them because they can climb up the wall and onto the roof of their little house. They live in a really big cage, with two ladders, and a rat wheel. At the top of the ladders is a little house where they sleep. Sometimes they get scared because we can be quite noisy. They are going to stay with us for the week.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

This term we have been looking at persuasive writing. 

We looked at the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We talked about whether she should have gone into the house or not. Here is my poster. 

Phonics

In phonics my class has been leawrning the oo sound and the easy words were book and look and we learnt  other sound like ee sound. Phonics is fun because you get to lots of fun writing and write silly sentences to practise the sounds. You get to do Robot arms too, to sound out the words. I know the difference between diagraphs and blends. Diagraph is two letter that make one sound like, th, ch and sh, and a blend is two different sounds blended together like cr, st, dr.

Football

In the weekend we lost our foot ball game 3,2 we were annoyd and angry that we lost but I stll had fun. I won player of the day I was happy. Next week I am going to be team captain.

 On monday the 16 of may 2011 room 9 had an art exhibition at clink. My mum and dad thought it was great. My art work was a pear and a watermelon.
